Kitchen Ceiling Collapse After a Toilet Supply Line Burst in Astoria
Before
AfterThe third-floor toilet supply line failed overnight, and by morning the kitchen ceiling had dropped onto the counters. Our crew extracted the standing water, removed the wet drywall and insulation, and set Dri-Eaz dehumidifiers with daily psychrometric readings (measuring the moisture in the air) until the framing hit true dry standard. We rebuilt the ceiling, matched the paint, and the kitchen was back in service in five days.
Bathroom Mold Remediation Behind a Shower Surround on the Upper West Side
Before
AfterThe homeowner kept smelling something musty in the bathroom but couldn’t see anything. We pulled the shower surround and found mold covering the backer board from years of slow moisture movement at the valve. The affected area was contained with negative air pressure, the contaminated drywall and insulation were removed and bagged, and the framing was treated and verified dry before we rebuilt the wall. The smell was gone the day the job closed.
Finished Basement Flooded by a Failed Sump Pump in Forest Hills
Before
AfterA hard rain overnight, a sump pump that stopped mid-storm, and a finished basement with eight inches of water by morning. We extracted the water, cut the wet drywall two feet up, removed the soaked carpet and pad, and ran XPOWER air movers with Phoenix dehumidifiers until the concrete slab and framing dried. Then we rebuilt the room, installed a new sump pump with a battery backup, and the family had their movie night space back.
Storm Damage and Water Intrusion Through a Flat Roof in Park Slope

A nor’easter drove rain under the parapet flashing and water ran down inside two bedroom walls. We traced the moisture with thermal imaging, opened the affected walls and ceiling, and dried the cavities with Injectidry systems before the plaster could crack any further. After the roof was patched by the building’s contractor, we restored the walls, skimmed the plaster, and repainted both rooms.
Sewage Backup in a Finished Basement Apartment in Washington Heights

A city sewer line backed up through the floor drain and spread across the basement apartment’s living area. This is Category 3 water, so every surface was treated as contaminated. We removed the affected flooring and drywall, extracted the water, sanitized what could be saved, and verified the space with moisture readings before rebuilding. Direct insurance billing and photo documentation kept the adjuster informed at every step.
Condensation-Driven Mold on an Exterior Wall in a Long Island City Loft

The loft sat cold through a stretch of February nights, and condensation formed on the inside face of the exterior wall. By the time we were called, the bottom three feet of drywall showed visible mold growth. We removed the affected material, corrected the thermal bridge problem with proper insulation, treated the framing, and reinstalled drywall. The wall has stayed clean through two winters since.
